Dear Friends,

As we decided at our winter meeting, the best date for our summer rally, 1976 is the weekend of 7th and 8th of August.

On Friday the 6th of August we are already welcome in the harbour at Numansdorp, where the harbour master promised to give our ships a place near the clubhouse of the sailing club during the weekend.

On Saturday at 9:30 sharp the captains’ palaver will be held on one of the ships and then we intend to sail on the Hollands Diep. Weather permitting, we hope to “admiraalzeilen” there. A copy of the exact and right way to do this will be sent to every ship owner who applies for the rally.

On Saturday afternoon, back in the harbour at Numansdorp, we might have a drink on board our ships and at 18.30 we are expected in the restaurant “Het wapen van Cromstryen” near the harbour. Here we shall get a, we hope, excellent dinner for ƒ 30,– a person. During dinner no special dress will be worn. It is suggested that ladies wear a summer dress, gentlemen a blazer or a blue suit.

On Sunday we intend to sail again together and to anchor somewhere for the sherry party. After this party everybody might sail home again.

We hope a large number of ships will be present. As it is necessary to know how many ships will come, and even more important, how many people will be present at the dinner, please inform:

if you intend to come with your boat and how many people you expect to bring to the dinner.

If there are many children of about 12 years or younger, they might get a special table and a special menu at the dinner. So if you have young children on board, please also inform Mr. Bolte about that
