To make it more comfortable for everyone (especially those who have to work till Friday) being on time with ship and crew at Lauwersoog, we’ve decided to move happy hour & dinnertime in the cosy shed of Bert & Janneke Glazenburg to
Saturday 3th of July 2021 from 18.00 p.m.
to welcome you around that time at their address Schildhoek 2 at Lauwersoog.
We’ll provide for all ingredients needed to preparate a fine 3-course captainsdinner as given in the menu enclosure. Bert and I will do all the shopping on Saturday morning.

Itinerary Rally 2021 Lauwersoog – Ostfriesische Inseln
Our intention is making use of Sunday 4th of July to rest and final preparations of all ships for sailing. In the afternoon, at 15.00 hours, we’ll keep palaver (if Dirk & Marieke find oneself in, on board of our mothership Sayonara) about time of leaving Lauwersoog and destination for next day. In good weather interested participants sails together (for a part or longer) on Monday 5th of July to Ostfriesische Inseln.
The passage of Groninger Wad with 3 tidal divides always means some adventure for Alcyone’s with their draft about 1 meter.
Cormorants with draft as little as 65 cm. laugh at that, but plus 35 cm. for Alcyone I and II – especially on the shallow waters of Groninger Wad- really matters!
For that reason anchoring in the Ra for the night over may be a good choice in case of tide is against us to reach Borkum (Port Henry) or Borkumer Wattfahrwasser on time.
We’ll see what’s desirable for one and all.
Next destinations could be Juist, Baltrum, Langeoog and Spiekeroog; always a pleasure to stay there for a while. Or perhaps Carolinensiel and Wangeroog. All depends on weather(forecast) and windforce where we’re going to and where Rally ends. Everyday we’ll take palaver to make plans for a smooth passage next day. So, feel free to participate also for a part of the free style cruise we’ll make this year.
When crew is needed please let us know a.s.a.p. We’’ll do our best to mediate.
