Wintertime
Last week Holland was charmed by a really and truly winter’s tale. Most of us enjoyed the beautiful landscape by walking through snow-white woods or skating on ditches and lakes. For a few days pandemic feels far away. At our groups-app DeKippenburg we received photos from Michiel and Relinde Schepers standing for landed estate Kippenburg on the Luts, just before skating further on to Makkum. And also from Frans and Annemarie Kemme skating at the Wijde Aa and Brassemermeer. Bravo!

Forerunner of spring
In the last two days -from the far south- a lot of storks arrived at their old nests build
in oaktrees firm at the mainroad between Beetsterzwaag and Gorredijk. Strange choice
with all noise of passing cars, but funny. We stopped our car in the front of an old
farm with 3 nests on the chimney-top! Rienkje was lyrical about that and made this
photo with her iPhone. Spring is coming, yes!

Summermeeting/Rally 2021
Alcyone Circle afford you a great perspective this summer. Most of us will be vaccinated in Q2 (based on vaccinationstrategy RIVM), certainly the older members above 6o years. If so, we would organize a Summermeeting at Lauwersoog on Saturday 3th of July 2021 in the shed of Bert & Janneke Glazenburg with beer & wine and by example fish & chips of Sterkenburg and the possibility for devotees sailing away (for a part or longer) on Monday in a Rally to Ostfriesische Inseln to avoid the extra crowdy Dutch lakes and costal waters around that period, just because the pandemic. Sailing to the east occassionally could be a better choice now.
